Welcome
Nesting
Place of UhBoo & all of his Friends

Hello, I am UhBoo, a Yellow Naped Amazon, and the mascot for Bayou Bird
Nest and all it's chirping beauties. I will appear throughout our web
site to introduce you to my family and give you a tour. I love my
family who adopted me; they spoil me rotten, of course.
They have taught me many words so, I can tell them when I am happy,
want attention, upset or if I am lonesome. I also help teach all
the other birds to talk. Oh, and I love singing
with my family, while Grandpa plays the guitar!
My family is so lucky to have a terrific bird like me. They take me to
the vet, let me tan on our family deck (in my cage or flight suit),
give me many safe toys. I in return, I reward them by giving them
plenty of love, companionship and entertainment, big on the
entertainment.
One of my favorite toys is my trapeze. It hangs high from the
ceiling (of course it can be attached in two different locations in the
family den). By the way, I have a very unique way of letting my
family know when I want to come out of my cage. I beg, cool
huh - but not like the common dog, I hang from the top of my cage, by
my beak and clasping my feet together holding my toes, bouncing and
waving all at the same time and trying to talk this is a fantastic
little jig I do. Because it is all at the same time and I am
trying my best not to lose

my hold on the cage
and falling below, you
could say it is almost irresistible, just like me!
Besides all of the birds in our family, I live with and I also help out
with the training of our family dog Shelby, a Boston Terrior. Oh
yes, I help Mom out all the time. I call her “Shelby come here”
and it works another favorite of mine is “Shelby go pottie” and she
actually waits at the French doors, well I do have my limits I have not
learned the ability to open doors yet, but she sits there and waits
anyway. Then when it is time to go to bed “I tell her to go
get in her bed” and she does – wow some animals are so easy.

My home is a wonderful place, and I have to admit, I am a wee bit
jealous when my family feeds all those cute little babies we have and
especially when they play with them in front of me. But usually I get
to be played with first, so I cannot complain.
Please watch for the super articles my Mom is working on, and oh yeah,
the pictures of me and all my buddies.
